1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us when creating an account, uploading receipts, or communicating with support. This includes your email, merchant names, dates, amounts, and individual itemized purchase details extracted from receipt scans.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to categorize expenses, calculate monthly budget distributions, flag subscription price hikes, and provide personalized financial insights on your dashboard.
3. Receipt Uploads & Scanning
When you scan receipts, images are processed securely using machine-learning tools to itemize products and prices. These scans are securely stored in private cloud storage buckets under your account credentials.
4. Third-Party AI Services & Data Processing
Itemora securely integrates with cloud storage hosts and third-party artificial intelligence services. To perform automated optical character recognition (OCR), itemized receipt extraction, and financial insights synthesis, the app securely transmits receipt images and extracted purchase text to the Google Gemini API (operated by Google LLC) over encrypted channels (HTTPS/TLS).
Confirmation of Equal Protection: We confirm that any third-party AI service provider with whom we share data, including Google LLC (Google Gemini API), provides the same or equal protection of user personal data as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
Data sent to Google Gemini is used solely for real-time document processing and insights generation. Data is not retained or used by Google to train foundation AI models, and we do not sell, rent, or distribute your raw receipt details or transaction profiles to any third-party marketing brokers.
5. Data Security & Storage
We implement industry-standard physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect your transaction ledger.
Data Retention Policy
We retain your receipt images and transaction data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete a receipt or request account deletion, associated records and files are permanently purged from our storage buckets within 30 days.
6. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13.
7. Your Data Access & Deletion Rights
You can export your transactions as a structured tax ledger (CSV format) at any time from the Settings screen. You can edit any transaction amount or category directly inside the Activity details view. If you wish to delete your account, you can initiate account deletion directly from the Settings screen inside the app. Upon account deletion, all personal credentials, transaction records, and uploaded receipt images are permanently purged from our databases and storage buckets within 30 days.
